Phoebe Fortune

President

Phoebe is a Trainee Solicitor at Woodfines Solicitors and is due to qualify into their PrivateClient team this April. As President, Phoebe works at increasing our memberships by interacting with legal professionals who are early on in their careers as well as students. She also attends the  Junior Lawyers Division meetings on behalf of the committee. Phoebe looks forward to continuing to organise, engage and attend our events and be part of the successful growing network of young lawyers we have across Cambridgeshire.

Vice President 

Ebony Flack

Ebony is a Commercial Property Paralegal at Ward Gethin Archer with a view of beginning SQE studies within the next two years. This will be her second year on the CJLD Committee after serving as a Publicity Representative last year. 

As Vice President, Ebony works with our President, Phoebe, to oversee the growth of our membership reach amongst firms in Cambridgeshire. She also sits on the Cambridgeshire Law Society’s Committee as the CJLD Representative.

Treasurer

Gintare works as a team assistant at Woodfines LLP. As Treasurer for the 2025 Committee, she looks forward to growing the society further and welcoming both new and current members to increase the successful networking of young lawyers across Cambridgeshire.

Isha White

Publicity Representative

Isha is a Trainee Legal Executive in the Commercial Property team at Ashtons Legal. She is currently studying the Graduate CPQ in order to become a CILEX Lawyer and will shortly be moving on to the final stage of her studies. 

Isha is continuing on the committee as publicity representative after being on the 2024 committee as she enjoys publicicing our events, contributing to the junior lawyers community and raising awareness of CJLD to others in similar positions. 

Valentine Doan

Valentine is a trainee solicitor based in Mills & Reeve’s Cambridge office. Valentine is fluent in English, French, and Vietnamese. Equipped with a dual law degree with Hong Kong law, she joined Mills & Reeve in September 2024. Valentine is currently in the first year of her training contract. As  Publicity Representative, Valentine is enthusiastic about uniting Cambridge's junior lawyer community and nurturing meaningful relationships that extend beyond our events.

Shay Kelly

Publicity Representative

Shay is a first year solicitor apprentice at Howes Percival’s Cambridge office. Shay joined the Dispute Resolution and Insolvency team at Howes Percival in September 2024. In his role as Publicity Representative, Shay is responsible for promoting all CJLD events and communicating with both members and non-members.

Olga Kyriakoudi

Publicity Representative

Olga is a first-year trainee solicitor at Greene & Greene Solicitors. Alongside her training contract, she is studying for SQE 1 & 2 at BPP University. As a publicity representative consultant, Olga is eager to apply her skills in creative writing and digital design to develop promotional materials and raise awareness of CJLD across the community of junior legal professionals.

Social Secretary

Abbie is a Solicitor in the Serious Injury team at Irwin Mitchell LLP. Abbie qualified in August 2023, having completed seats in Medical Negligence, Court of Protection and Serious Injury. This is her 4th year as social secretary on the committee and she helps with organising the CYPG/CJLD ball in September.

Megan Reckless

Social Secretary

Megan is a Paralegal in the Clinical Negligence team at Tees. She studied Law at the University of Southampton and will be starting the SQE in April 2023. As a Social Secretary on the 2023 CJLD Committee, Megan hopes to carry on and build on the successful events of 2022. She's looking forward to taking an active role in the committee by organising various fun events to connect more firms and young lawyers across the Cambridge area.

Zaynab is a legal secretary/paralegal in the Family team at Buckles Solicitors and is also studying for the SQE alongside this. As a social secretary, Zaynab is keen to organise insightful and enjoyable events and commits to growing a wider community of emerging legal professionals within Cambridgeshire.

Sophie is a second-year trainee at Irwin Mitchell and is currently doing a 6-month seat in Medical Negligence. She is keen to get involved in the Committee to help organise activities/events for our members that promote networking, encourage professional growth, and strengthen personal connections.

John is an NQ Associate in the Commercial Property Team at Howes Percival. John is new to Cambridge and is looking forward to networking with other junior lawyers in the area as well as organising lots of fun and engaging events throughout the year.

Gabriella Cox

Social Secretary 

Gabriella is a Trainee Solicitor at Tees, due to qualify as a Solicitor in the Corporate and Commercial department in March 2025. She graduated from The University of York in 2016 with a degree in Law and has completed the Legal Practice Course. As a Social Secretary, Gabriella will continue to collaborate with the rest of the Committee and help to organise some fun events for junior lawyers to network.

Alice Moylan

Social Secretary

Amira is a final year law student at Anglia Ruskin University. She is a student advisor at ARU Law Clinic and, is an active participant in events like moot competitions. As an ‘Education Representative’, Amira is enthusiastic to meet other co-students in all academic institutions in the Cambridgeshire area and support them to connect with CJLD.
